Dog and cat hospitalisation in Dwarka

Care when going home is not the right next step.

Billu & Bella offers hospitalisation for dogs and cats when the treating clinician recommends admission and the clinic can appropriately support the case.

Important: Admission is not guaranteed. It depends on clinical need, case suitability, clinician availability and current capacity. Exotic-pet hospitalisation is not offered.

An informed admission

Four questions every family should ask.

Hospitalisation should have a clinical purpose, a communication plan and clear reassessment—not just a bed.

Why is admission advised?

Ask what clinical need cannot be managed appropriately at home and what the immediate goals are.

What monitoring is planned?

Confirm the case-specific checks, staffing arrangements and how changes will be handled.

How will updates work?

Agree on the primary contact, expected update method and when the team will call urgently.

What allows discharge?

Ask what improvement, home-care readiness or follow-up plan the veterinarian is looking for.

Admission pathway

A clinical decision with clear checkpoints.

  1. 1

    Assessment

The veterinarian evaluates the pet and decides whether the clinic can appropriately manage the case.

  2. 2

    Plan and consent

The proposed care, current limitations, communication arrangements and likely charges should be discussed.

  3. 3

    Reassessment

The clinical team reassesses the pet and decides whether continued admission, discharge or referral is appropriate.

Available support

Confirmed facility capabilities.

The clinic has in-house blood testing, digital X-ray, oxygen and ventilator support. What is appropriate depends on the individual case.

A boundary worth stating

Hospitalisation is not the same as 24/7 on-site staffing.

The exact staffing and monitoring model has not yet been approved for public claims. Families should confirm arrangements for their pet before admission.

Hospitalisation questions

Understand the admission.

Which pets can be hospitalised?

Hospitalisation is available for dogs and cats when the clinician considers admission appropriate and space is available. Exotic-pet hospitalisation is not offered.

Is admission guaranteed?

No. Admission depends on the pet’s needs, the clinic’s capabilities, clinician availability and current capacity. Some cases may need referral to another facility.

Is a veterinarian physically present beside admitted pets 24/7?

Do not assume this. The clinic has not yet approved a public continuous-staffing statement. Ask the team to explain the exact monitoring and overnight arrangements for your pet before admission.

Can I reserve hospitalisation online?

No. Hospitalisation is a clinical admission decision, not an online reservation. Call the clinic or attend the advised consultation or emergency assessment.

Has admission been discussed?

Call the clinic directly.

Hospitalisation cannot be reserved through the routine appointment form. The clinical team must assess and accept the case.
